The New Badge The New Badge Aberdare Referee’s Society have recently unveiled their new badge. The new, more modern badge was designed by local graphic design company White Dot Media.

Richard Harrington, Chairman of the society said ‘many of our society members felt that the time was right to make the change from the old traditional badge to a more modernised version. Our old badge served its purpose well but as a society we felt that we had to move with the times, and the result is a very modern design’.

The badge was redesigned by Aberdare graphic design maestro Craig Harris of White Dot Media. ‘The main challenges were trying to modernise the logo, incorporating the whistle, flag and ball into a small area without it becoming over crowded whilst keeping a sophisticated look as it is representing the referee’s society’ said the creative designer.

‘The shape of the badge seems to be a common one within football and I felt the font made the logo look sharp and really made the words stand out’.

Richard Harrington added that ‘the process of designing the badge went on for a few weeks with e mails being sent back and fore on a daily basis, with both parties keen to get the design just right. I think in the end White Dot Media has done the society proud. We’ve already had many compliments about the badge and we would like to place on record our thanks to Craig and all at White Dot Media.’

White Dot Media has only been in existence for the past 4 weeks but with a growing reputation for their hugely professional work and attention to detail there can only be good things in the pipeline for this small but able company.

Harrington added ‘if there were any other football clubs or referee societies who were thinking of changing or modernising their badge then White Dot Media would be the company we would highly recommend’.
